Bristlecone Pine- One of the 3 pine trees on earth, that can grow at high elevations and in bad soils. It has outer bark that dies very easily by being coated with ice to protect the inner bark.

Bear Grass- A plant that blooms a white flower and normally grows on wet slopes, even without good soil. It gets its name by bears liking to eat the plant.

Moss Campion- A small plant that is shaped like a cushion and can grow in many altitudes. It has small pink flowers and leaves to protect it from strong winds.
Pygmy Bitterroot- A flower that can grow in cold climates and in ground that is mostly made up of gravel. It is pink in color and got its name by the way the edible roots taste
